Who's at the Table

at the tableNew Mexico Coalition for Healthcare Value is an employer-led, multi-stakeholder, nonprofit group.

The Coalition developed as a positive result of the work of the former New Mexico Coalition for Healthcare Quality, an initiative funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Aligning Forces for Quality (AF4Q) program and HealthInsight New Mexico, that operated in Albuquerque and surrounding three counties.

Getting On Board with Health Care's Value Proposition

Health care leaders in New Mexico, including employers and other key stakeholders, are finding creative ways to improve the state’s delivery system while managing overall costs. Together, these disparate groups are crafting ways to ensure that health care payments are tied to the value, and not the volume, of the services delivered. These efforts are led by the New Mexico Coalition for Healthcare Quality which has brought together providers, patients, employers and insurers to help improve regional health care.

Coalition fulfills initial challenge and prepares for the next phase

In 2009, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), one of the country’s largest health foundations, gave New Mexicans a challenge – build a multi-stakeholder community collaborative to align the different forces in healthcare – those that provide care, receive care and pay for care...The Coalition is using 2015 as a transition year, a time to bring together the founding members, secure the initial funding, develop the mission-vision for the organization, develop bylaws, organizational structure and develop the membership dues structure for the future.
